Traffic calming measures can be used

 

- either in a "30 km limit" on roads within the limit or at the edge of the limit
- or on a section of road where there is a local speed limit of 30 km/h

2 types of traffic calming measures

Classic speed hump type

'Flat top' type

Installation of a "Flat top" type of speed hump

- its lengthways cross section shows the raised flat area and 2 slopes on either side.
- Its geometrical characteristics are as follows:


ramp slope from 7 to 10 %
height of flat area - 10 cm - accurate to within +/- 1cm
length of flat area - between 2.50m and 4.00m

Making ramp slopes using 1 type of SOBERITE "Ramp slab".

To be laid on repairing cement or a stabilised sand mix
Allow space between slab joints for expansion (5mm)


Creation of flat area with SOBERITE paving stones 10/12 cm thick or
or MODUL ROCHE cobblestones 8 cm thick .
